Very well maintained example of these C&C Rob Ball designed cruiser/racer high performance boats. Currently stored the hard in Fairhaven, Massachusetts.
Multiple upgrades including Edson pedestal steering with cable to wheel and hydraulic autopilot, custom stainless steel handrails on deck, all new Shaeffer blocks, Shaeffer bow chocks for mooring lines.
Comes complete with custom steel galvanized storage cradle, and custom made winter cover.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
This particular boat is a cross between an R and A Plus. The 1989 boat has an inch more Freeboard than the earlier R's . In the mid 1990's she had a custom interior refit that included a bulkhead and door for the forward cabin. Lots of custom teak paneling. Starting Forward there is a full V-berth with filler. Moving aft to port is the head, sink and hot/cold pressure shower. Across is a full size hanging locker. Aft is the main salon with straight settees port and starboard. Excellent sea berths outboard both port and starboard built right into the beautiful teak cabinetry. Centerline folding table. Midships starboard is a huge top loading, well insulated ice box. Rack of storage areas aft. Midships to port is the L-shaped galley with double sink with hot and cold pressure water. Two burner propane stove and oven. Dry storage area. Lockers outboard, another rack of dry storage lockers aft. Access to the aft cabin is through doors either port or starboard. There is a huge aft full width bunk. Sit down nav station centerline. Teak paneling outboard. Newly refinished teak and holly floor,

HULL & DECKS:
The hull is constructed of a Kevlar/Fiberglass composite with balsa coring. This is an IMS hull shape, not an IOR hull shape. Nice round bilges and rocker provide excellent performance and seakeeping abilities Deck is balsa core. These boats have had very little structural problems due to the excellent construction.
T-shaped cockpit with open transom facilitating easy drainage. Custom swim platform. Large wheel on Edson steering system with pedestal brake and guard. Great access to primary winches for easy trimming. A custom lower bridge deck gives easier access to down below. Roomy side decks. Double bow and stern pulpits. Double lifelines with gates port and starboard. (6) Barient Two Speed Self-tailing winches. Two #32 primaries, and four, # 27 & 21, on cabin top. Adjustable Genoa leads outboard. Inboard genoa track and car for tight sheeting. #3 track and car on cabin top forward. Mainsheet traveler is forward in the cockpit with a fine tune exiting at the boom. Hydraulic adjustable backstay and vang.
3 SAILS & RIGGING:
Triple spreader aluminum mast keel stepped with single point chain plates. SS Rod rigging (replaced 2013) Hydraulic adjustable backstay and vang. .Aluminum boom. Complete spinnaker gear including topping lift, down haul, pole, adjustable track on mast, two guy blocks and two sheet blocks.
